Student travel protection covers students and the staff accompanying them on school trips away from campus, including interstate excursions, sporting and cultural tours, mission and service trips, and overseas study tours. It gives schools and families confidence that if something goes wrong a long way from home, help is available and the costs are covered.
The protection typically includes overseas medical expenses and emergency evacuation, cancellation and curtailment costs, lost or delayed baggage, and access to a 24-hour emergency assistance line for the trip leader. Trips should be registered before departure with details of the destination, dates and participants. Your State Manager can confirm what needs to be provided and whether any planned activities need special consideration.
