Corporate Practices
Corporate practices protection responds to claims made against the organisation itself, rather than against its individual leaders, arising from the way it is run. This can include allegations that the organisation breached a statutory obligation, failed to meet regulatory requirements, or acted wrongfully in its dealings with members, suppliers, regulators or the community. It complements directors and officers protection, which covers individuals.
The protection can cover the cost of responding to regulatory investigations and inquiries, legal defence costs, and compensation, fines or penalties where the law allows them to be insured. For organisations with employees, volunteers, property and public programs, it provides an important layer of financial protection as governance expectations continue to grow. Your State Manager can explain how it fits with your other covers.
This is general information about the protection Baptist Insurance Services can arrange. What applies to your organisation depends on the cover in place, so please contact your State Manager with any questions.
